O ex-atacante Jô, com passagens por Corinthians, Atlético-MG, Amazonas e Seleção Brasileira, foi preso na tarde desta terça-feira (18/11) na Praia da Barra, na Zona Oeste do Rio. A detenção foi determinada pela 1ª Vara de Família de Jacarepaguá após a Justiça constatar 12 meses de atraso no pagamento da pensão alimentícia de um de seus filhos. Essa é a quarta vez que Jô é detido pelo mesmo motivo.
A mãe da criança comprovou a inadimplência, e a Polícia Civil levou o ex-jogador para a 16ª DP, na Barra da Tijuca.
Anteriormente o ex-jogador Jô havia sido preso por pensão alimentícia em outras três ocasiões. A sua primeira prisão foi em maio de 2024, em Campinas, momentos antes de uma partida. Sua segunda detenção aconteceu em dezembro do mesmo ano, em Contagem, durante um treino. A terceira foi em junho deste ano. A mais recente foi registrada nesta terça-feira.
A prisão ocorre poucos meses depois de Jô ter sido detido pelo mesmo motivo. Em junho deste ano (17/6), ele foi preso em São Paulo por dívida de pensão referente a outro filho e acabou solto após cumprir parte da ordem judicial. Com Metrópoles.
