De acordo o jornal inglês The Athletic, Xabi Alonso, do Bayer Leverkusen, e Ruben Amorim, do Sporting, são os candidatos no topo da lista.
Apesar do City já ter nomes no radar, a direção da equipe ainda vê uma renovação com Guardiola como uma possibilidade, apesar do espanhol não ter definido.
