Confirmando o favoritismo e os resultados da semifinal, a brasileira Rayssa Leal venceu a primeira etapa do Mundial de Skate, realizado em Jacksonville, na Flórida neste domingo (17/7). Na última manobra da disputa, Rayssa tirou um 7.6 e ultrapassou a japonesa Yumeka Oda e ficou com o título. A atual campeã da disputa, Pâmela Rosa, terminou na 3ª colocação.
Essa é foi a quarta vez na carreira que a Fadinha garantiu um título no principal torneio da modalidade. Apesar de não estar incluso na classificação para as Olimpíadas Paris 2024, o Mundial de Skate segue sendo a disputa mais importante do street.
A grande decisão ficou marcada pelo equilíbrio entre Brasil e Japão, que vem disputando o protagonismo no skate street feminino. Rayssa e Pâmela representaram o time brasileiro, enquanto Momiji Nishiya e Oda defendiam o Japão.
Apesar de Yumeka Oda conseguir a maior da história da competição feminina com um 9.4, a consistência de Rayssa ao longo de toda a decisão foi fundamental para o título, que só veio na última tentativa da brasileira na pista. Pâmela acabou errando na reta final da disputa e garantiu o bronze.
