A Polícia Federal (PF) prendeu, nesta quarta-feira (19/2), dois passageiros de voos internacionais que tentaram ingressar no Brasil com medicamentos sem a autorização legal. O produto, Mounjaro, é usado para diabetes tipo 2 e por pessoal que buscam emagrecer. A abordagem ocorreu no Aeroporto Internacional de São Paulo, em Guarulhos, durante fiscalização da Receita Federal.
Os suspeitos, ambos brasileiros, desembarcaram de um voo procedente da França e foram flagrados transportando canetas de medicamento para diabetes sem a documentação exigida para importação. Eles foram conduzidos à delegacia da PF no aeroporto, onde, após serem ouvidos, foram presos pelo crime de contrabando.
Diabetes O medicamento apreendido, Mounjaro (tirzepatida), produzido pela farmacêutica Eli Lilly, é indicado para o tratamento de diabetes tipo 2 no Brasil. De uso injetável e administração semanal, o remédio auxilia no controle dos níveis de açúcar no sangue de pacientes adultos.
Além de seu efeito primário no controle do diabetes, a tirzepatida também retarda o esvaziamento do estômago e inibe os sinais de fome no cérebro, promovendo uma sensação de saciedade prolongada e reduzindo o apetite.
A importação de medicamentos sem autorização configura crime de contrabando, conforme o Código Penal brasileiro, podendo resultar em pena de dois a cinco anos de reclusão. As informações são da colunista Mirelle Pinheiro.
