A vítima foi identificada como Clédio Vilela Cardoso. Aposentado da Polícia Militar há cerca de três anos, ele vivia sozinho em uma chácara, em uma região de difícil acesso e distante da cidade.
O corpo foi encontrado no último domingo (21/4) por moradores. Segundo o relato de vizinhos, o PM foi visto pela última vez no dia 8 de abril.
Ao Metrópoles, o delegado Tibério Martins afirmou que as circunstâncias da morte ainda são investigadas, mas que não há indícios de morte violenta.
