A Polícia Civil de São Paulo prendeu nessa sexta-feira (11/7) um homem suspeito de ter matado o estudante maranhense Raphael Gomes Pedrosa, de 33, no próprio apartamento, na República, no centro da capital. Herbert de Mello Pereira, de 29 anos, é investigado por latrocínio. A Justiça decretou sua prisão temporária por 30 dias.
O crime ocorreu no último domingo (6/7). Câmeras de segurança registraram imagens de Raphael dançando na casa noturna Villa Country horas antes e, na sequência, sendo acompanhado por Herbert no calçadão do centro, já com o dia claro.
Em depoimento, o suspeito disse que Raphael teria o abordado na rua, pedindo ajuda porque estava com frio. A vítima teria então convidado Herbert para sua casa e tentado forçá-lo a praticar sexo. O suspeito teria então reagido desferindo várias facadas na vítima.
Ainda segundo a versão de Herbert, só depois de matar Raphael ele teria decidido roubar objetos da casa, como roupas, uma mala, o celular da vítima. Ele teria vendido os itens para comprar drogas.
Para a polícia, o depoimento do investigado não é verdadeiro. A principal suspeita é que ele tenha se aproximado de Raphael com a intenção de praticar o latrocínio e vender os objetos.
