Fede Valverde desfalcará o Real Madrid e seleção uruguaia por pelo menos duas semanas. O volante foi diagnosticado com uma lesão de grau 3 no tornozelo após sofrer uma entrada dura de Kang-in Lee, na derrota por 2 x 1 para o Atlético de Madrid. O lance, que deixou o uruguaio lesionado, não resultou na expulsão do jogador adversário.
“Após exames realizados hoje pelo Serviço Médico do Real Madrid em nosso jogador Fede Valverde, foi diagnosticada uma entorse de grau 3 no tornozelo esquerdo. Sua recuperação será acompanhada”, diz o último boletim médico do clube.
Valverde estava na lista de convocados do Uruguai, a primeira convocação oficial de Diego Forlán. Ele ficará fora das partidas contra o Japão (24 de setembro), Coreia do Sul (28 de setembro) e Índia (6 de outubro).
